Yes, the Bang & Olufsen Beogram 4000 Series dates back to the 1970s, but it’s now being ‘re-released’ in a special limited edition.
The ‘new’ Bang & Olufsen Beogram 4000 Series, officially named the Bang & Olufsen Beogram 4000c Series Rive Droit Edition, is being reintroduced in an extremely limited run. We put ‘new’ in quotes because these turntables are not fresh off the production line but meticulously restored original units by the manufacturer.
Originally launched in the 1970s, this version is the result of a collaboration with fashion house Saint Laurent, and only ten of these units are available (or were, by the time you read this). Each turntable is housed in a Ziricote wood (also known as Mexican rosewood) casing, featuring aluminum accents, an etched logo, and a unique serial number—making it a true collector’s item.
Of course, exclusivity comes at a price: $30,000.
