Measurements ToneWinner AD-PRO3
Contents
We measured the ToneWinner AD-PRO3+ with our Prism dScope III. We also checked how clean the power supply is with the Tekbox LISN and Picoscope 5000-series scope.
The results are downright good. In almost all areas they are. Promised power is achieved, so is distortion. Channel separation is particularly good, as is the noise floor, which stays below -110dB. We see very little ‘grass’. Good scores for an integrated amplifier.

Note: the noise graph is same measurement, but different scale (200mV and 1V). We see one noticeable bump there around 600 KHz. But it stays below -90dBu, which is not a problem.
I own the ToneWinner AD-2PRO+ and the AD-1PRE+, and I am really impressed with both. I found the DAC in the AD-1PRE+ to be a better sounding preamp/DAC combo vs the 2PRO+ integrated. With the 1PRE+ using the AD-2PRO+ as an amplifier, that meatiness was there, the tonal richness the integrated lacked. This is the only ESS DAC I have owned that lasted more than a few days in my system. I think one would be hard pressed to find better sound and power for the money. These ToneWinner amps are beasts, and can easily drive anything you throw at it, and sound fantastic in the process. Maggies really shine with these amps.
