The Rega Brio MK7 has a long, long history, with its origins tracing back to the original model from 1991.
It’s not often that an audio device goes through so many iterations as the Rega Brio MK7. Indeed, this marks the seventh generation released over the past decades. This is an integrated amplifier with everything you need onboard. It features a Phono-MM input as well as digital inputs (S/PDIF coaxial and optical). According to the manufacturer, the sound quality of the phono input stage in the MK7 has been further improved thanks to better separation between the amplification stages.
If you prefer private listening, there’s a headphone jack conveniently located on the front panel. Additionally, Rega states that the entire electronic design of the Brio MK7 has been completely reworked compared to its predecessor. The power output delivers a maximum of 50 watts per channel at 8 ohms or 72 watts at 6 ohms. Another new addition is the built-in DAC that processes signals from the digital inputs.
The Rega Brio MK7 will be available starting in early May this year, priced at €999—including a system remote control. In short, a lot of functionality for a very attractive price.
