Australia’s Vinyl Station has released a series of record cabinets made from recycled plastic. Nice looking and environmentally friendly too!
Plastic is somewhat problematic for the environment. It often keeps circulating around in it until just about eternity. Eventually it ends up as microplastic in humans and animals. That’s not healthy. But: if that plastic lasts so long anyway, of course we can reuse it in a more healthy and pleasurable way. This is exactly what Vinyl Station does. The end result of all that creative reuse looks (indeed) nice. We’re talking practical record cabinets, which you can order in an array of colorways.
Add some HiFi-equipment
Moreover, you can not only store your record collection in the cabinets, but also set up your hi-fi equipment. For example, think of a record player and an amplifier or all-in-one. However, all this beautiful design – as is so often ‘t case when this word pops up – comes with a pretty hefty price tag. To be exact (and depending on the size) you have to pay between $2800 and $3500. But then again, you have a special object in your home, while you have also kept some plastic junk out of the environment.
