Do you sometimes get a little despondent about this hobby too? It always has to be better, it’s never enough. That feeling. Well, the PSB Synchrony B600 is the perfect antidote to that. A particularly musical, yes musical, loudspeaker that simultaneously caters to the discerning audiophile. Whatever genre you prefer, the PSB Synchrony B600 always makes it a fine experience. Paul Barton clearly knows what he is doing and makes the most of rather conventional components. While there is a lot of great stuff out there in this price range, this PSB Synchrony B600 stands out as far as we are concerned.

Although the Cantons have the same driver arrangement with the tweeter at the bottom, they are cut from a different cloth. The low end is drier and tighter on the Canton The low end on the PSB runs a bit plumper and fuller without becoming unwieldy or sluggish. As already mentioned, an exquisite balancing act. Both do have about the same amount of slam but the PSB has a bit more body. The PSB “disappears” more easily and has an even wider spread than the Canton.
