With the JBL Flip 7 and Charge 6, you’re all set for summer and travel season—take your music wherever you go!
JBL’s portable speakers have long been customer favorites. Just about every year, new models arrive with improvements and new features. Starting April 1st, the new JBL Flip 7 and Charge 6 will hit store shelves. The Flip 7 is the more compact of the two newcomers. A standout feature this year is the ability to deliver hi-res audio via a wired USB-C connection—letting you bypass Bluetooth codecs and their associated compression entirely. But not to worry: the Flip 7 still supports Bluetooth, now certified for version Core 5.4. As usual, you can pair multiple compatible JBL speakers via Auracast. On a full charge, this compact speaker delivers up to 16 hours of playtime. Also new is the “AI Sound Boost” technology, which promises even more powerful bass.
Charge 6
The JBL Charge 6 (pictured above) is the slightly larger sibling of the Flip. It comes with a removable carrying strap and shares many features with the Flip 7. In addition, it includes an upgraded woofer for improved sound performance. A practical bonus is that the Charge 6 can also charge other devices like your smartphone, doubling as a power bank. When fully charged, the internal battery provides up to 28 hours of playback—though using it to charge other devices will naturally reduce that number.
The JBL Flip 7 is priced at €149.99 and the Charge 6 at €199.99. Both will be available from April 1st in black, white, blue, red, camo, pink, and lilac.
